Being able to lift a bowling ball at 105 years old is impressive, being able to actually bowl at that age is kinda amazing.

When I was in Winnipeg, I felt shame after seeing a picture of a 78 year old woman who finished the Manitoba Marathon.

I could never run a marathon. As a matter of fact, I signed up and paid the fee for a 2.6 mile run but didn't show up because I drank too much the night before.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">It's all a matter of perspective though. I think it's more important to live well than to strive to be 100. If you enjoyed the night before, then no loss. I think it's great this man in the story is 105 and can still do what he does. The 78 yr old you mentioned is inspiring too. But longevity, in and of itself, isn't the end all goal IMHO. I don't aspire to live to be that old myself, but if I could be that age and be like him at 105, it might be ok...

"Live long AND prosper..." or don't bother.
